Heidi Desmarais
Heidi Desmarais, RDH, MSDH has a Master’s of Dental Hygiene from EWU, a BA in Sociology from UW, and an AAS in clinical dental hygiene from SCC.
She is currently practicing in both private clinical practice and alternative dental hygiene settings. Additionally, she serves her greater community in supportive oral health roles in schools, screenings, and local dental public health efforts.
Heidi has served as an assistant professor of dental hygiene, continuing education presenter for dental professionals, served on oral health boards, and on numerous community health committees as an oral health representative. She served as co-chair of the Greater Columbia Accountable Community of Health. Along with the WSOHC, her efforts currently include board membership on the Alliance of Dental Hygiene Practitioners (ADHP), a collaborative of direct access dental hygienists serving in alternative practice settings in Washington.
Heidi’s Oral Health Superpower: Doing what she can to aid preventive, integrated medical-dental health efforts to our existing web of safety net solutions in terms of prevention, access and workforce.
